hello and welcome to the blog of mark proctor photography based in the exciting coastal town of margate, kent. I shoot weddings, portraits, families, children and any other random projects that catch my eyes, here, there and everywhere.

Interesting post on twitter about the amount of rain locally over the past few months.

Don’t forget I will be at the Whitstable Castle wedding open day this Sunday. 11-4

I will be the photographer there so come and say hi! and discuss your wedding photography needs.

At another wedding fayre at the beautiful St Augustines of Westgate-On-Sea.  10 till 4 and free entry.  Hope to see you there.

Driving home today and I saw this field with red poppies in it, so I turned the car around and parked up.  Luckily, I found a public footpath that took me right into the middle on the field.  I think the red looks great among the field of yellow (and some green) flowers.

Beautiful mixture of red and yellow. I would be most grateful if you could give me the location of the field so that I can take my kids there at the weekend. Many thanks in advance. Chris 07809837100.

Went down to Ramsgate Harbour to see the ww2 german bomber, a Dornier DO-17 , that was recovered from the sea bed on Monday the 10th June.  Unfortunately despite my considerable charms I was unable to get dock-side to take photos as the BBC have exclusivity. So this is a heavily cropped image shot from across the harbour.  Still it was nice listening to a few old folk talking about the war and shooting down some planes.

Fantastic wedding recently at Winters Barns near Canterbury.  The gorgeous couple were Tasmin and Dave and despite it being very cold it was still a beautiful day.

These images are just a small selection from the day.  Hope you like them.

Big love

Mark

Had a good day at Whitstable Castle wedding fayre yesterday, got some good leads and met lots of lovely couples.  Hoping I will be working with a few of them in the future.

Much Love

We travelled up to London to see the father-in-law in what can be best described as freezing conditions.   It seemed colder in London than where we live by the sea. It’s amazing to believe the clocks went forward later that day and BST begins.

However London looks beautiful in any weather.
